Irrigation and Lighting Manager

About the role

The Irrigation and Lighting Manager leads the planning, installation, maintenance, and repair of all irrigation and landscape lighting systems for the company. This role combines technical expertise with client‑facing responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess irrigation and lighting needs and present solutions.
• Review construction drawings and landscape plans, perform quantity take‑outs, and prepare accurate estimates and project budgets.
• Plan, organize, and oversee field operations, including crew scheduling, equipment allocation, and daily work coordination.
• Manage the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems (pumps, valves, controllers, wiring, sensors, pipe networks) and landscape lighting systems (transformers, timers, photocells, LED fixtures, control wiring).
• Develop seasonal irrigation schedules, water‑conservation plans, and monitor water usage for efficiency improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections, nighttime lighting reviews, and ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.
• Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize landscape damage and service interruptions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing irrigation and landscape lighting projects from design through completion.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with the ability to assess needs and present recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop project budgets, estimates, and profitability analyses.
• Effective leadership of field crews and coordination of resources to maximize productivity.
