Assistant Floor Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Floor Manager to support daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, profitability, and a positive dining experience. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to supervise staff, handle customer interactions, and maintain operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant each day.
• Assist in supervising, training, and mentoring front‑of‑house staff.
• Schedule shifts, assign tables, and manage waitstaff coverage.
• Address customer questions and complaints professionally.
• Support payroll processing and ensure accurate cash register balances.
• Enforce health and safety regulations.
• Assist with purchasing, inventory management, and stock control.
• Record income and expenses, and help prepare financial reports.
• Participate in staff performance reviews.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Experience with payroll software.
• Intermediate accounting or arithmetic skills.
• Strong leadership and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Trustworthy, impartial, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
