C++ Engineer – High‑Performance Trading Systems

About the role

We are partnering with a leading proprietary trading firm that builds ultra‑low‑latency trading systems for global markets. The role is focused on designing, developing, and optimizing high‑performance C++ components that drive live trading strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise high‑performance C++ code used in live trading environments.
• Build low‑latency components for market data ingestion, order execution, and exchange connectivity.
• Profile and tune code across CPU, memory, networking and I/O to achieve deterministic performance.
• Design robust systems capable of processing large volumes of real‑time market data.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to turn ideas into production‑ready software.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience developing C++ in performance‑critical environments.
• Deep understanding of modern C++ (C++17/20) and software design principles.
• Excellent grasp of data structures, algorithms, and systems programming.
• Extensive Linux experience, including multithreading, concurrency and parallelism.
• Passion for low‑level performance optimisation and debugging complex production systems.
