Cook – Full-time Kitchen Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Bahama Grill Cafe in Nassau. The successful candidate will work full‑time in a fast‑paced kitchen, preparing and cooking menu items to our high standards while supporting a welcoming guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, grill, fry, and plate menu items according to established recipes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen work area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, including proper storage and rotation.
• Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service.
• Contribute occasionally to menu development and daily specials.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook or line cook in a fast‑paced restaurant or café.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper storage practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a hot environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
