Experienced Kitchen Assistant – High‑Volume Retreat Kitchen

About the role

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join the high‑volume kitchen at our wellness retreat on Paradise Island. The role supports the preparation of nourishing vegetarian meals for over 100 daily guests and residents, ensuring quality and cleanliness in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking in a high‑volume kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation and food safety standards.
• Support kitchen staff by handling kitchen items, lifting when needed, and standing for long periods.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a high‑volume kitchen, restaurant, catering or retreat setting.
• Basic culinary and food preparation skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety practices.
• Strong teamwork, communication and a positive, reliable attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Experience with vegetarian or plant‑based cooking is a plus.
