Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the Accounting Department of Cacique Intl. Group of Companies, overseeing daily accounting operations, internal reporting, and compliance with government regulations. This senior position reports directly to the President/CEO and the Senior Vice President & General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cash balances, inventory, accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis.
• Prepare general ledger entries, monthly financial statements, and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and year‑end audit preparation processes.
• Manage all government reporting requirements, including VAT filings, business licence, and central bank reports.
• Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and related HR liaison activities.
• Supervise the accounting team, allocate work, and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Handle banking relationships, secure necessary approvals, and manage inventory accounting.
• Identify process improvements, monitor departmental efficiency, and support special projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, government reporting, and central bank requirements.
• Ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
