About the role

The Patient Intake Associate ensures a smooth and efficient registration experience for patients visiting Doctors Hospital. This role involves collecting accurate patient information, coordinating appointments, and handling financial transactions while upholding the hospital's standards of care and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and collect demographic and insurance details.
• Enter and verify patient data in the electronic health records system.
• Schedule appointments, confirm changes, and assist with rescheduling as needed.
• Process payments, including co‑pays, deductibles, and self‑pay fees, and reconcile cash at shift end.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre‑authorizations, and communicate financial responsibilities.
• Maintain consent forms and legal documents, ensuring patient privacy.
• Collaborate with medical staff, billing, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide clear information on hospital policies, wayfinding, and answer patient inquiries.
