Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Your Friendly Pharmacy is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacy Technician to join our community‑focused team in Nassau. You will work closely with licensed pharmacists to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication services for our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and label prescriptions accurately.
• Organise medication stock, restock shelves and check for expired products.
• Receive and process prescription requests using pharmacy systems.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Assist customers at the counter, answer scope‑appropriate questions, and coordinate with healthcare providers as directed.
• Record, update and retrieve prescription information in the pharmacy software.
• Follow all regulatory and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful workplace.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician License from the Bahamas Pharmacy Council.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Manual dexterity for handling medications and operating equipment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends or public holidays.
• Frequent interaction with customers, healthcare professionals and suppliers.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience using pharmacy software.
