Product Designer (UX/UI) – Digital Government Services

About the role

We are seeking a Product Designer (UX/UI) to shape the next generation of digital government services in The Bahamas. You will work on a portfolio of high‑impact products such as digital identity, citizen and business portals, mobile apps, and authentication experiences, collaborating in small, fast‑moving teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UX/UI design for citizen‑facing and internal government digital services.
• Design end‑to‑end user journeys and translate complex government processes into simple, intuitive interfaces.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
• Rapidly produce user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and production‑ready UI specifications.
• Work closely with engineers throughout implementation and review shipped products.
• Design transactional experiences involving identity, authentication, verification, approvals and payments.
• Conduct user research and usability testing, turning insights into product improvements.
• Present and defend design decisions to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of professional product or UX design experience.
• Experience in fast‑moving digital agencies, technology companies, consultancies, or mature product organizations.
• Ability to quickly understand new domains and work with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong ownership mindset and comfort moving between strategic experience design and detailed interface work.
