Tax Associate – Bahamas

About the role

The Tax Associate will support Deloitte’s Bahamas tax practice by applying accounting and taxation knowledge to a variety of client engagements. You will work on business tax, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, indirect tax and general compliance projects while developing your professional designation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and prepare tax filings for corporate clients.
• Assist with transaction support, including mergers, acquisitions and restructuring.
• Provide indirect tax and business process solutions.
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver high‑quality tax consulting services.
• Leverage Deloitte’s tax tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field (or equivalent qualification such as ACCA).
• Working towards an internationally recognised professional tax or accounting designation.
• Previous tax or related internship/co‑op experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance procedures.
• Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis.
• Proficiency with tax software and digital tools.
