Treasury Manager

About the role

The Treasury Manager will support the Treasury Unit within the Managing Director’s Office in The Bahamas, overseeing the Caribbean North region. The role ensures that funding, liquidity, risk, and financial planning activities align with the organization’s strategies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute funding and liquidity strategies to optimise balance‑sheet positions, net interest margins and meet regulatory limits in both local and foreign currencies.
• Manage treasury risk by adhering to risk‑management policies, monitoring portfolio limits, and implementing controls to prevent limit overruns.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis for the North District, highlighting trends, performance against benchmarks and providing actionable insights.
• Support the group’s Treasury Risk Management framework, measuring and controlling interest‑rate, funding, liquidity, FX and investment risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulators and government officials on liquidity, investment, foreign‑exchange, compliance and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Business degree in Finance or Investments and/or CFA designation.
• At least 10 years of banking experience, with a minimum of 5 years in treasury.
• Expert knowledge of local and international market operations.
• Strong understanding of Scotia Group policies, profit planning and treasury procedures.
• Excellent organisational, managerial and presentation skills.
