About the role
The Associate Corporate Counsel supports senior management on all corporate affairs, providing legal advice for a publicly traded company. The role works closely with the Legal Division, external counsel, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate internal and external contracts related to business operations.
- Maintain and organize the contract management system.
- Conduct extensive legal research on industry, corporate, regulatory, and legal matters.
- Prepare legal opinions and advise on financial transactions, telecom regulatory issues, M&A, and real‑estate matters.
- Collaborate with the VP of Legal and Regulatory on strategic planning, compliance reporting, and internal training.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with audit documentation, risk identification, and mitigation.
- Support labor and employment matters in partnership with Human Resources.
