Construction Project Manager

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial infrastructure projects in The Bahamas. You will be responsible for guiding projects from the planning stage through commissioning and handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities from pre‑construction to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Oversee procurement, contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract administration.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, environmental requirements, and safety regulations.
• Control project costs, change orders, invoicing, and budget forecasting.
• Conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality standards and best practices.
• Support close‑out activities, including commissioning, punch‑list resolution, occupancy approvals, and final handover.
• Provide clear communication and reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 + years of experience managing commercial, mixed‑use, hospitality, residential, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of contractors and consultants.
• Familiarity with permitting processes, construction regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
