Diver – Undersea Test & Evaluation

About the role

Amentum is looking for a qualified Diver to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role involves performing no‑decompression dives to service US Navy vessels and underwater structures while adhering to strict safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct no‑decompression dives up to 100 ft using open‑circuit SCUBA equipment.
• Recover, inspect, repair, install, and remove devices on marine vessels and structures.
• Operate and maintain diving air systems in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane, and tractor‑trailer equipment per NAVFAC/NAVSEA standards.
• Maintain underwater camera, video gear, and dive‑boat support equipment.
• Handle, transport, and recover ordnance and targets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of military diving or OSHA‑compliant commercial air diving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Commercial Diving Educators Certification or equivalent military certification.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
