Environmental Health & Safety Manager

About the role

The Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure compliance with local, national, and industry regulations while promoting a safe and healthy workplace. This position works closely with department leaders to minimize workplace risks, prevent incidents, protect the environment, and foster a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures and manuals.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections, audits, hazard and environmental risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, occupational health and safety regulations, permits and certifications.
• Lead accident, incident, injury and near‑miss investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor EHS key performance indicators, analyze trends and report to leadership.
• Deliver EHS orientation, training and safety briefings for chemicals, equipment, PPE and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years progressive EHS experience, preferably in hospitality or resort environments.
• Experience leading safety investigations, audits and compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, training and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using safety management software.
