HESS Assistant Manager – Celebration Key (Bahamas)

About the role

The Health, Environment, Safety, and Sustainability (HESS) Assistant Manager supports the implementation and enforcement of HESS programs across Carnival Corporation’s global destinations, ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver in‑house HESS training, maintain comprehensive training records, and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Assist in monitoring environmental systems such as potable water and wastewater treatment, collect and archive quality data, and support laboratory testing.
• Conduct regular inspections of emergency equipment (AEDs, oxygen tanks, first‑aid kits, etc.), ensure readiness, maintain logs, and manage inventory replenishment.
• Supervise HESS Technicians, oversee scheduling, ensure proper use of PPE, and liaise with internal departments to implement HESS initiatives.

• Strong teamwork, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
