Island Chef de Partie – Bahamas

About the role

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an Island Chef de Partie to lead culinary operations on its private island, Castaway Cay, in the Bahamas. You will oversee daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for island crew, ensuring high‑quality food and memorable experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product quality, presentation, and mise‑en‑place for all island crew meals.
• Control recipe cost, portion sizes, and overall stock ordering.
• Maintain food‑quality standards during storage, production, and service.
• Prepare and monitor crew dietary requests.
• Lead and supervise Demi Chef de Partie and kitchen stewards, ensuring compliance with sanitation laws and safety policies.
• Suggest operational improvements and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years formal culinary training from an accredited school.
• At least 3 years relevant experience (or 6 years experience with 2 years in a comparable role).
• Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and team‑development abilities.
• Physically fit for long periods of standing, lifting, and bending.
• Legally authorized to work in the Bahamas and willing to share cabin living.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HACCP and safe food‑handling practices.
• Knowledge of Bahamian and USPH sanitation standards.
• Recipe costing, portion control, and food‑cost management.
• Ability to work across all kitchen stations.
• Understanding of sanitation laws and compliance procedures.
