Lead Electrician – Celebration Key, Bahamas

About the role

The Lead Electrician will oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across Carnival Corporation destinations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements. This hands‑on position also involves developing detailed design packages and mentoring junior electricians.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of wiring networks, panel boards, conduits, raceways, lighting, receptacles, fixtures and switches, interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, conduct regular inspections of transformers, circuit breakers and panels, and oversee corrective repairs.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts using diagnostic tools, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality.
• Provide technical guidance on HVAC systems, electrical testing equipment and ensure all work follows the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
• Mentor and direct electricians and support staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality and accountability.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; additional hospitality or related education is a plus.
• 3‑5 years experience as an electrician and 2‑3 years supervisory experience.
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors, stand for long periods and follow shift schedules.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
