Mechanical Technician – Celebration Key (Bahamas)

About the role

The Mechanical Technician supports the Engineering department of a Carnival Corporation destination in the Bahamas. The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting, and optimizing mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers with mechanical design, installation, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform diagnostic tests on equipment, identify issues, and execute timely repairs.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance plans to minimise downtime.
• Adjust machinery settings to improve efficiency and support upgrades or retrofits.
• Document maintenance activities, track parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Train junior technicians and provide technical guidance to team members.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum two years of experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ability to work safely in a hands‑on environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
