Mid-Level Compliance Officer – Digital Banking

About the role

BankPro is seeking a mid‑level Compliance Officer to strengthen regulatory adherence across its digital banking operations. The role works closely with legal, operational and business teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and to foster a culture of integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Support KYC risk decisions for high‑risk and complex client cases, including Enhanced Due Diligence, periodic and trigger‑event reviews.
• Provide ad‑hoc support for suspicious activity investigations, escalating and filing STRs when the MLRO is unavailable.
• Act as the primary compliance contact for Customer Support and Transaction Monitoring teams, delivering timely guidance.
• Assist the CCO in establishing internal control processes, policies and procedures for product, marketing and operations.
• Draft, review and maintain compliance policies and manuals; develop and execute monitoring and testing programmes.
• Monitor compliance risks and KPIs, conduct gap analyses and prepare board and management reports.
• Coordinate governance meetings and serve as liaison during internal, external and regulatory audits.
• Design and deliver compliance training to promote ethical conduct throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as CAMS, ICA or CIA.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance role within a financial institution, fintech, bank, consultancy or regulator.
• Strong knowledge of Bahamas banking and securities regulations and supervisory expectations.
• Demonstrated experience conducting KYC/AML reviews and performing regulatory gap analysis.
