Nassau Branch Manager

About the role

The Teachers & Salaried Workers Co-operative Credit Union Limited is looking for a motivated Branch Manager to lead its Nassau branch. The role involves overseeing daily operations, driving growth, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellent member service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day branch operations, ensuring efficient and member‑focused service delivery.
• Supervise, coach and develop branch staff to meet performance targets and uphold service standards.
• Drive membership growth, expand the loan portfolio, increase deposits and promote the credit union’s products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, community stakeholders and business partners.
• Monitor financial performance and operational efficiency, taking proactive steps to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, AML/CFT obligations and internal policies.
• Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets, reputation and employees.
• Identify, assess and manage operational, credit, compliance and reputational risks.
• Prepare branch reports and recommend operational improvements and business development opportunities.
• Foster a positive, professional, member‑centric culture aligned with the credit union’s values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in banking, credit unions or financial services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of lending operations, member service, branch administration and financial products.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, AML/CFT obligations and risk management principles.
• Proven leadership, communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, achieve business objectives and nurture member relationships.
