Operations Manager – Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

About the role

The Operations Manager supports the Operations Team, Senior Operations Manager and General Manager in delivering high‑quality guest experiences on Half Moon Cay. This role oversees facilities, daily activities, and continuous process improvements to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily operations, coordinating ship calls, vendors, and local officials.
• Resolve issues involving guests, vendors, and employees.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
• Manage supply orders, distribution, and the Operations Department’s fiscal plan.
• Oversee scheduling, rotations, and project assignments for the Operations team.
• Lead employee engagement, conduct department meetings and bi‑annual performance reviews.
• Collaborate with HR on staffing needs and employment matters.
• Review and update operational manuals (e.g., MR‑650) and produce monthly departmental reports.
• Analyze operational costs and performance to recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Leadership or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience, preferably as an Operations Manager.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors and stand for extended periods.
