Product Specialist – Portfolio Management

About the role

The Product Specialist supports the Product Manager as the unofficial lead for a designated portfolio. Acting as the subject‑matter expert, you will own the health of the portfolio, drive improvements, and translate market trends into actionable initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously assess the product portfolio, prioritising and standardising improvements.
• Support the full product development lifecycle from ideation to commercial launch, collaborating with technical, financial and legal teams.
• Analyse portfolio trends, conduct monthly and annual reviews, and provide insights for growth opportunities.
• Work with Business Intelligence to identify rationalisation or discontinuation opportunities to optimise margins.
• Prioritise product enhancements, ensuring user‑experience requirements align with the roadmap.
• Formulate innovative solutions to drive market growth, improve retention and mitigate churn.
• Draft clear, testable feature requirements and support quality‑assurance testing before launch.
