Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Plant Operator

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant Operator to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role reports to the Lead RO Plant Operator and provides direct oversight of a 150,000‑gallon‑per‑day RO water system.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system and equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Clean and calibrate RO equipment to maintain operational standards.
• Regulate and adjust motors, pumps, blowers, valves, and related hardware.
• Operate analyzers, mechanical tools, hand and power tools as required.
• Handle hazardous chemicals such as compressed chlorine gas, anhydrous ammonia, concentrated sulfuric acid, soda ash, and sodium metabisulfite in compliance with safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of experience with municipal or military water management systems.
• Class C Water Operator’s license.
• College degree or high‑school diploma with equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance.
• Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
