Senior Audit - Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction

About the role

EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) offers a Senior Audit position in Nassau within the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands market. The role sits in the Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction segment and involves delivering audit services to clients in this area, with travel of up to 25%.

Key responsibilities

• Provide audit services that go beyond the regulatory mandate, advising clients, investors and regulators on the validity of financial statements and business-critical information
• Participate in fieldwork, identify accounting and auditing issues and report engagement status to supervisors
• Apply complex accounting and auditing concepts to client situations and give technical guidance to team members
• Deliver quality client service on complex, judgmental and specialized issues, and learn about EY's service lines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field plus 2 years of post-bachelor's experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of experience
• 1 year of engagement management, execution and reporting experience with clients in asset management, insurance/public companies, banking/capital markets or RHC
• 1 year supervising audit teams of two or more staff, including audits under U.S. GAAS/GAAP or IFRS, and recent PCAOB-registered public company audit experience
• 1 year of experience using audit documentation software
• Active CPA certificate, or a foreign certificate with sufficient coursework and experience to obtain CPA certification
