Wastewater Treatment Plant & Reverse Osmosis Mechanic

About the role

The Wastewater Treatment Plant & Reverse Osmosis (WWTP RO) Mechanic is responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the reverse‑osmosis and wastewater treatment facilities at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. The role ensures safe, compliant water production and sewage processing while supporting the overall safety‑first culture of the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Water & Sanitation Manager to document and safely dispose of waste and by‑products.
• Develop, update and train staff on SOPs for plant operations and equipment.
• Monitor power consumption, identify operational improvements and set minimum staffing levels for continuous production.
• Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis plant to deliver potable water of optimum quality.
• Control, monitor and maintain wastewater treatment processes, including chemical treatment and batch metal removal (copper, nickel, lead, silver, gold).
• Execute preventive maintenance, inspect and repair distribution, filtering and treatment equipment.
• Take measurements from meters, gauges and control panels to optimise water quality.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain septic tanks, filters and screens, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Install and repair copper, PVC and CPVC plumbing lines, including soldering work.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on detail and problem‑solving.

• Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Ability to follow company brand standards, policies, SOPs and environmental guidelines.
