Accounting Manager

About the role

Bahamas Sotheby’s International Realty is seeking an experienced senior accountant ready to step into an Accounting Manager role. This hands‑on position oversees daily accounting operations, mentors the team, reviews work, and ensures high‑quality reporting and controls. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key part in strengthening processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day‑to‑day accounting function.
• Review accounting transactions and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with month‑end close activities and monthly management accounts.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and identify efficiency improvements.
• Support audit preparations and provide necessary documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical accounting, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one is an advantage.
