Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will coordinate and oversee food service activities at a luxury resort outlet, ensuring high quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the restaurant, including service style, ambiance, and menu offerings.
• Control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cash control.
• Collaborate with senior food‑and‑beverage leaders to design menus and wine lists that meet quality and price targets.
• Address guest complaints, special requests, and public relations matters to maintain exceptional service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or college degree in hotel/restaurant management, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of food and beverage service experience in a high‑volume upscale resort.
• Legal ability to work in the Bahamas without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with food‑and‑beverage computer systems and general computer equipment.
• Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and spirits.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English.
