Bar Manager

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Bar Manager at a vibrant, fast‑paced restaurant in Nassau, The Bahamas. You will lead daily bar operations, maintain high beverage standards, and create an outstanding guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service, consistent drink quality, and an organized workspace.
• Train, supervise, and motivate bartenders and support staff while managing scheduling.
• Develop and maintain cocktail recipes, presentation standards, and beverage menus in collaboration with management.
• Manage beverage ordering, inventory, stock rotation, and storage to minimize waste.
• Monitor beverage costs, portion control, sales, and stock discrepancies to support profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, licensing, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams during busy periods and events.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and bar sales reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of bartending experience, including supervisory or management roles.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Experience using inventory management tools.
