Currency Services Representative

About the role

The Currency Services Representative processes client transactions across one or more RBC product lines, ensuring accuracy and quality in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment. The role serves as the first point of contact for clients, balancing operational risk with a strong focus on client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process basic to moderately complex client transactions using online systems while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
• Provide consistent service that meets established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Examine documents and data for completeness, flagging issues to the Team Lead.
• Identify recurring errors or service gaps and communicate them to the Team Lead.
• Take ownership of client concerns, escalating to managers when necessary.
• Adhere to delegated authorities, system access controls, and global compliance policies.
• Follow operational risk policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum entry requirements: five Ordinary Level subjects including English and Mathematics.
• Good knowledge of the bank’s policies, procedures, products, and services.
• Understanding of relevant circulars and regulations such as Money Laundering, Privacy, and Negotiation of Items.
• Strong cash‑management skills and a commitment to quality service.
• Ability to respect confidentiality, adapt to shift work, and manage demanding situations under tight timelines.
