Floor Manager

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Restaurant Floor Manager at a vibrant, fast‑paced venue in Nassau, The Bahamas. You will lead front‑of‑house operations, manage the service team and ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily front‑of‑house operations, ensuring attentive, efficient, and consistent service.
• Lead shift briefings, assign staff sections and duties, and communicate daily specials and service priorities.
• Oversee seating, reservations, table turnover, and guest wait times to maintain smooth service.
• Train, coach, and manage servers, hosts, and support staff, fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate food and beverage delivery.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, resolving concerns and escalating issues when necessary.
• Manage floor staffing, breaks, and shift coverage according to business needs.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout guest‑facing areas.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, POS transactions, and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of front‑of‑house restaurant experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong understanding of dining room operations, service standards, and guest relations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to make sound decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Confidence in resolving guest concerns professionally.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
