About the role
The Island Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring and operating designated aquatic recreation spaces, ensuring guest safety on beach areas, and maintaining equipment and supplies during operating hours.
Key responsibilities
- Perform rescues, administer first aid, CPR, oxygen, and AED as needed.
- Monitor beach and aquatic areas to prevent injuries and enforce policies.
- Set up, verify, and maintain supplies and equipment, including snorkeling gear and shore excursion items.
- Communicate with the Bridge or Safety Officer via UHF radio in emergencies.
- Participate in regular training, drills, and emergency duties as outlined in the ship's Emergency Management Safety Plan.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of lifeguard experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to schedule changes.
- Willingness to live in close quarters and work 7 days a week.
Required skills
- Lifeguard certification.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- STCW training from an accredited institution.
