MIS Technician – Grand Bahama

About the role

The MIS Technician provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to associates of Doctors Hospital Health System across Grand Bahama, ensuring that hardware, software, and network services remain operational in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to help‑desk tickets, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing, connectivity and account issues both remotely and on‑site.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, UPS systems and peripheral equipment, including operating system and application installation.
• Assist with user onboarding/off‑boarding, password resets, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory account management.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless) and support senior engineers with infrastructure upgrades.
• Document incidents, update asset inventories and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to work independently on routine issues and to escalate complex problems to senior MIS staff.
• Willingness to travel between DHHS locations and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Active Directory user and group management.
• Endpoint security software deployment and patch management.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless).
• Hardware installation, troubleshooting and repair for PCs, printers and mobile devices.
