Produce Sales Consultant

About the role

The Produce Sales Consultant drives regional penetration and new business growth within the Produce category for Sysco Bahamas. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, enhancing customer experience, and maintaining category certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute targeted produce sales strategies to meet regional and individual annual goals.
• Prioritize opportunities using data analytics and Salesforce, and actively pursue top penetration prospects.
• Provide customer solutions emphasizing Sysco brand and specialty offerings, leveraging sampling to close sales.
• Maintain relationships with customers, chefs, and internal teams, and represent Sysco at industry events.
• Track activities, collaborate on opportunities, and ensure compliance with food safety and SOPs.

Required profile

• High school diploma (GED) required; 3+ years of sales experience in retail, broker, wholesale or distribution with deep produce knowledge.
• Travel ability of approximately 40% and a valid driver’s license with vehicle access.
• Strong analytical, financial, and consultative selling skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM) for planning and forecasting.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze reports, derive insights, and express financial implications.
