Project Director – Luxury Hospitality MEP

About the role

The client, an international MEP contractor, is seeking a Project Director to lead the full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection package on a major luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a long‑term senior appointment reporting to the Regional Operations Director with regular exposure to the Managing Director and board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a site management team of 15‑20 professionals across MEPF disciplines.
• Manage the MEP design process, coordinating with architects, engineers and the main contractor, resolving clashes and keeping design ahead of installation.
• Own the MEPF programme, integrate it with the master schedule and drive procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Act as the senior client‑facing lead in meetings with owners, operators, project managers and the main contractor.
• Control cost, change and commercial risk together with the commercial team and report to regional and board level.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Director or senior Project Manager on large MEP or MEPF packages.
• Hospitality MEP background on new‑build hotels/resorts or major refurbishments, with additional experience on commercial, healthcare or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong design coordination and installation management capabilities.
• Demonstrated programme and scheduling expertise, able to build, interrogate and defend an MEP programme.
• Experience leading a site team of similar size and representing the package confidently with clients and consultants.
• Caribbean or island project experience is a strong plus.
