Field Operator – Power Generation

About the role

The Field Operator will support the reliable operation of a power generation facility in Grand Bahamas. Working closely with the Control Room and Maintenance teams, you will monitor, operate, and maintain main and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver main and auxiliary generation equipment according to plant procedures.
• Monitor field equipment, detect anomalies, and communicate findings to the Control Room.
• Interpret P&IDs, operating ranges, and technical procedures for safe plant operation.
• Perform regular inspections and support corrective actions to meet availability and efficiency targets.
• Replenish oils and lubricants following safety standards.
• Supervise areas outside the Control Room, ensuring proper operation and preservation of equipment.
• Identify and report operational risks that could affect personnel safety.
