Senior State and Local Tax (SALT) Specialist – FSO

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior State and Local Tax (SALT) professional to join its Financial Services Organization (FSO) tax team in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. You will work on complex tax compliance and advisory engagements for asset‑management clients, including hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead state and local tax compliance and reporting for a portfolio of fund clients.
• Provide advisory services on tax strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on high‑impact client issues.
• Analyze trading and investment reports to determine tax implications.
• Assist in fund structuring, tax compliance, and on‑call advisory support.

Required profile

• Senior‑level tax professional with solid technical knowledge of asset‑management taxation.
• Experience in state and local tax compliance for hedge funds, private equity or mutual funds.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex trading data.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
