Tax Manager – State & Local Tax (FSO) – Freeport, Bahamas

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Manager with a focus on State and Local Tax (SALT) to join its Financial Services Office (FSO) in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. You will work within the Wealth & Asset Management tax practice, supporting hedge fund, private equity, and mutual fund clients on tax compliance and advisory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate SALT compliance and advisory engagements for asset‑management clients.
• Oversee tax compliance for hedge funds and private‑equity funds, including preparation and sign‑off of K‑1s and partnership returns.
• Review securities analyses, partnership agreements, and private placement memoranda for tax implications.
• Implement tax strategies aligned with client business objectives and ensure accurate tax adjustments.

Required profile

• Professional experience as a tax manager or senior tax consultant, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of state and local tax regulations and partnership tax reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
