About the role
Amentum is looking for an MK-30 Underwater Target Electronics Technician II to join the team on Andros Island, Bahamas, supporting the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed testing procedures to diagnose equipment malfunctions and conduct final testing of electronic systems.
- Disassemble components, trace circuit continuity, repair wiring, and replace faulty parts.
- Under supervision, execute authorized modifications, preventative maintenance, and install tracking systems per NAVSEA specifications.
- Maintain a controlled supply area for the MK‑30 Program and troubleshoot a variety of electronic systems including lasers, thermal sights, night‑vision devices, and fire‑control systems.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree in Electronics (AA/AS) or equivalent military experience with a high‑school diploma.
- At least 2 years of electronics technology experience.
- U.S. citizenship, valid passport, and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
- Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
Required skills
- Electronics testing and circuit troubleshooting.
- Digital‑analog troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word.
