Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager supports the Food and Beverage Manager in delivering high‑quality dining experiences at Half Moon Cay, a Carnival Corporation destination in the Bahamas. The role involves overseeing daily kitchen and dining operations, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the day‑to‑day execution of kitchen and dining services, ensuring smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation, portion control and consistency.
• Coordinate food and beverage service between front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams.
• Supervise, train and schedule food‑and‑beverage personnel, providing real‑time coaching.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, receive deliveries and control waste.
• Support compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations and participate in internal audits.
• Track labor and food costs, contribute to budgeting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, feedback or complaints and handle emergency situations.

• Strong communication skills and a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
