Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with senior leadership to provide accurate financial insight and ensure strong governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function, translating business objectives into financial plans and performance targets.
• Oversee financial planning & analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning, financial modelling and variance analysis.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, statutory disclosures and accounting policy compliance.
• Direct insurance finance activities – premiums, claims, reserves, underwriting performance and related analysis.
• Supervise investment finance and accounting, monitoring portfolio performance, valuation and regulatory reporting.
• Control treasury and cash management, liquidity, banking relationships and exposure monitoring.
• Support capital planning, solvency and balance‑sheet management in collaboration with the CFO.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership within insurance, investment or related financial services.
• Strong commercial focus with the ability to translate strategic objectives into financial plans.
• Demonstrated capability to provide accurate financial insight to C‑level executives.
• Excellent governance and control mindset, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• Ability to collaborate across finance, actuarial, risk, underwriting and investment teams.
