People and Culture Coordinator

About the role

The People and Culture Coordinator supports the Director of People & Culture in delivering a full range of HR services for SLS Baha Mar. This onsite position ensures accurate personnel records, assists with recruitment, and helps maintain a positive employee experience within the hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain new‑hire files and conduct onboarding sessions.
• Schedule interviews, track candidates in Smart Recruiter, and send follow‑up communications.
• Audit training attendance and manage LMS records.
• Update employee details weekly in the Connect system.
• Produce monthly HR reports (turnover, headcount, disciplinary matters).
• Process resignations, terminations, and support employee relations requests.
• Facilitate onboarding documentation, orientation, and safety training.
• Assist with reward programs, exit interviews, and unemployment claims.

Required profile

• Flexible and approachable at all organisational levels.
• Strong organisational and clerical abilities (photocopying, filing, mail preparation).
• Proactive liaison with other departments.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations such as accommodations, investigations, and terminations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Smart Recruiter.
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Familiarity with the Connect employee‑data platform.
