Project Control Specialist

About the role

CTL Maritime, part of the MSC Group, is looking for a Project Control Specialist to support the construction teams executing its building sites in the Bahamas (Grand Bahama). The role covers project documentation, cost and schedule controls and project workflows, and requires residence in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and audit the central document control system (Procore, SharePoint) for master plans, drawings, permits, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, letters and submittals
• Handle governmental documentation such as LDP and customs bonds, and ensure timely approval of duty-free and tax exemptions for construction materials and equipment
• Prepare, process and track contracts and project variations; prepare, review and analyse estimates from concept to detailed estimate
• Maintain the project budget, track monthly actual commitments and expenditures, and generate financial forecasts, cash flow reports and budget variance analysis
• Reconcile pay applications and consultant invoices against purchase orders, field verified progress sheets and contract milestones, and coordinate engineer's review of monthly invoices
• Manage design submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and product data, and coordinate shipping of material samples and mockups
• Log Change Order Requests and potential change orders, track financial impact and exposure, and route them through the project authorization matrix
• Review monthly contractor schedules and weekly look-aheads to spot baseline deviations, critical path slippage and at-risk milestones
• Produce weekly and monthly project dashboard reports for leadership, and drive administrative contract closeout with as-built documents, warranties and O&M manuals

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project administration, project controls, quantity surveying or construction management, ideally for an owner, developer or managing contractor
• Practical experience with construction projects in similar environments and with multi-million-dollar capital project budgets
• Experience managing complex document and financial workflows for large construction projects
• Ability to interpret and enforce contract terms, insurance clauses and change management
• PMP or equivalent certification a plus; fluent English, additional languages a plus
• Residence or ability to relocate in Freeport, Grand Bahama, and ability to obtain a Work Permit in The Bahamas

• Expert-level Microsoft Excel for cost forecasting, cash flow modelling and budget reconciliation
