Assistant Supply Chain Manager – Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

About the role

The Assistant Supply Chain Manager supports the Inventory Manager in overseeing inventory control and procurement processes for operations on Half Moon Cay. The role ensures optimal stock levels, accurate record‑keeping, and smooth coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet operational demand while minimizing excess stock.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain cycle‑counting procedures.
• Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
• Analyze demand data, anticipate future supply needs, and adjust reorder points.
• Coordinate ordering and replenishment based on usage forecasts and safety stock.
• Supervise inventory software usage and data management.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, place orders, and evaluate performance.
• Verify received inventory for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with scheduling, assigning work, and evaluating warehouse staff performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new inventory personnel.
• Ensure compliance with inventory policies, conduct equipment inspections, and propose cost‑reduction strategies.
• Prepare inventory reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations.

Required profile

• Ability to assist the Inventory Manager in daily operational tasks.
• Strong organizational skills for managing stock, records, and supplier interactions.
• Experience in supervising or supporting warehouse and inventory staff.
• Capacity to analyze data and contribute to inventory performance improvements.
