Carpenter – Half Moon Cay (Bahamas)

About the role

The carpenter will work on Carnival Corporation’s Half Moon Cay destination, measuring, cutting, shaping and installing wood, plastic and other materials for building frameworks, flooring, cabinets and more.

Key responsibilities

• Hang drywall, assist with wall/ceiling framing, and install wood, tile and vinyl flooring.
• Build and install doors, cabinets, shelving, windows and other structural components.
• Inspect, repair and replace damaged structures, ensuring compliance with building codes.
• Create detailed construction reports, update logs and maintain project documentation.
• Perform work safely following OSHA guidelines and conduct site inspections.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of general carpentry experience and completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lb and participate in emergency lifesaving procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with power tools for cutting, shaping and joining wood.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and familiarity with data‑entry and reporting tools.
