Cashier – Patient Registration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cashier to join our Patient Registration team at Doctors Hospital. The role involves providing high‑quality customer service while handling payments, verifying insurance, and supporting outpatient registration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Collect deposits, co‑pays, and other payments; issue receipts.
• Verify insurance benefits, complete claim forms, and obtain patient signatures.
• Balance cash, checks, and credit cards daily against the reconciliation report.
• Maintain inventory of registration supplies and report shortages.
• Answer inbound and outbound calls and manage registration‑related emails.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and follow‑up on patient inquiries.
• Prepare weekly productivity reports and provide schedule availability two weeks in advance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of cash handling or customer‑service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and professional communication skills.
• Reliability in adhering to work schedules and punctuality.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Keyboarding skills.
