Client Associate – Customer Service & Cash Custodian (6‑month contract)

About the role

The Client Associate delivers a high‑quality client experience on the branch floor, handling day‑to‑day transactions, enquiries and promoting digital banking solutions. The role also includes cash‑custody duties, ensuring smooth cash operations while protecting client interests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with everyday banking, new account opening, term deposits and credit cards.
• Promote and guide clients on RBC’s multi‑channel and digital banking tools.
• Manage client flow on the branch floor, greeting and directing visitors.
• Handle first‑point‑of‑contact client concerns, log complaints and follow up according to RBC policies.
• Perform cash‑custody functions: cash ordering, redemption, end‑of‑day balancing and outage identification.
• Collaborate with Sales & Service professionals to refer clients to appropriate sales appointments.

Required profile

• Minimum five passes (Grades I‑III or A‑C) with compulsory Math and English.
• Proven customer‑service experience in a target‑driven environment.
• Strong multitasking, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Interest in mobile and digital devices and ability to assist clients with self‑service applications.
• Leadership potential and influence skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RBC internal systems.
• Experience using digital banking platforms.
• Knowledge of cash‑management procedures and systems.
