Demi Chef de Partie – Island Kitchen (Bahamas)

About the role

Disney Cruise Line is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to work on its private island in the Bahamas. The role involves supporting the Island Chef de Partie across all kitchen areas, ensuring high‑quality food service for crew and guests while maintaining strict safety and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Island Chef de Partie with ordering, stock control and daily galley operations across cold pantry, hot kitchen and crew pastry/bakery.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures, sanitation compliance and food safety standards are consistently followed.
• Follow recipe standards, proper equipment use, storage, stock rotation and standard operating procedures.
• Suggest operational improvements and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year formal culinary training and at least 2 years relevant kitchen experience (or 3 completed cruise contracts as Cook 1).
• Proficiency in safe food handling, HACCP, and familiarity with Bahamian and USPH standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen, manage cost control, and handle food waste.
• Physically fit with the endurance to lift, bend and stand for long periods.
