Environmental Health & Safety Manager

About the role

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager protects employees, patients, visitors and the environment across Doctors Hospital Health System facilities. This role ensures compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain checklists to monitor compliance with accreditation standards, building and life‑safety codes.
• Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, assess risks and report findings.
• Plan, execute and document emergency drills and code exercises.
• Respond to incidents, accidents and emergencies; lead root‑cause investigations and staff education.
• Deliver regulatory training and provide guidance on legislative requirements.
• Maintain records of daily activities, compliance documentation and reference materials.
