Financial Controller – Luxury Hospitality (Bahamas)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead finance operations for a luxury hospitality group based in the Bahamas. The role reports to senior leadership and is responsible for financial performance, governance and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop finance and audit teams.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and management information.
• Drive strong financial controls across income audit, payroll, accounts payable and cost management.
• Oversee taxation, internal and external audits, regulatory compliance and financial risk.
• Manage procurement and inventory controls.
• Ensure robust safeguards against fraud and financial irregularities.
• Partner with senior leadership, auditors, legal advisers and government agencies.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• Senior finance experience within luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts or a complex operational environment.
• Strong experience across financial controls, audit, compliance and cost management.
• Proven team leadership and development experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Commercially minded, analytical and highly detail‑oriented.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
